once upon a time...
okay, that's really not that funny or that witty, but i tried.
i would like to preface by saying that not ALL the stories & jokes listed on this blog will be about me, joey, or our friends. we would welcome any & all of you who are funny or have funny things happen to you. we're welcoming people, it's what we do.
but for today, a story about us it is.
joey & i are known for wearing inflatable animals. if you are unsure what an inflatable animal is, i have attached a link for your benefit. these animals often made their appearance on the opening day of kamp or various other random occasions. it really is the perfect go-to accessory. so if you find yourself in need of a hip accessory, may i suggest the duck?
my duck, we'll name him charlie, was my favorite. i put him on for a last minute touch to my opening day attire and this particular day i was positioned at the front gate of k-west. i'm standing there welcoming kids & parents, while answering questions that they might have. it's important to note that the duck is still around my waist. a sweet mother rolled down her window to ask me where they should go; i was chatting it up with her and upon finishing our conversation she began rolling up her window. i didn't move fast enough and charlie was caught. the mother didn't notice at first so i politely said,
"i'm sorry but my duck is stuck in your window"
that phrase should never have to come out of your mouth.
so word to wise, if you take our recommendation & wear inflatable animals please make sure they stay out of harms way. poor charlie never fully recovered.

the pleasure is all mine.
hi, i'm joey and i too, love my friends. seriously.
as savannah stated in the above post, the two of us met at k-west 4 years ago. due to my lack of awareness, immaturity and many other really bad excuses, I didn't know we were friends until a year later...but that is story for another day.
you will get to know savannah as this blog develops into something spectacular. but before I tell you a little bit about her let me just warn everyone involved that most of the stories I tell, will most likely have savannah as the main character and me and our friends as the supporting roles and most of the stories will involve some kind of injury (usually to savannah) and the rest of us being the cause of injury in some shape or form.
Here are some things you should no about s. hill:
- she loves people better than any one I know
- her desire to truly know and follow Jesus takes precedent in her life
- she is strong
- one year at kamp she spent about a month in quarantine, broke a finger, had extreme hot flashes, and taught kayak every period
- she can sing like celine dion (i know because i have been to a concert, don't hate)
- she is her brothers biggest fan
- our friends and I had to inform her that unicorns are NOT real and the grand canyon is in arizona... this was like two years ago
- she is a golden retriever and her love language may or may not be the giving of gifts
thats all i have for now.
i am excited to see were this blog goes. i know one thing for sure, is its going to be filled with funny things, friends and jesus.

hello, nice to meet you.
hi, i'm savannah and i love my friends. seriously.
i love long walks on the beach and sunsets. chocolate chip cookies might be my love language, oh wait, none of you really want to know any of that.
if you want to be jealous of me you should be jealous about my friendships. i couldn't ask for a greater group of people who love to laugh and love Jesus even more than that. the greatest part is that i keep getting to add friends to my collection ;)
joey and i were co-counselors at k-west 4 years ago and haven't quit being friends since.
i'm going to let joey introduce herself in her own hilarious way. but you should all get to know a little bit about joey that she would never tell you. she is the most genuine girl i know. she loves Jesus in a real way and she serves people every second she can. she loves soy milk and real milk too. she became an expert on hot flashes 4 years ago and she once worked at McDonalds. joey is the funniest person i know, hands down. throughout the years of friendship we have had some pretty great stories. it's about time that the world get to hear a few of them.
welcome to a funny blog about life, friendships, and the faithfulness we've seen along the way. there will be guest appearances on our blog, but joey and myself will be the emcee's. but
don't worry joey, danielle will not be throwing any nalgene bottles around these parts.
